A Change Is As Good As A Rest – A Morning Session On The Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal

The session itself today, although I couldn’t call it hectic, saw a regular trickle of fish activity.

There was nothing big on the bank, mostly gudgeon and roach.

Whenever I’m on that particular canal and I catch the former, it always reminds me of my first fish way back in the sixties.

That tiny gudgeon from the Bratch, at Wombourne, is still very fresh in my mind.

I also had one perch today, a ‘2’. Ounces that is though, not pounds.
