I’m now into single figures, as far as weeks are concerned, before I hit sixty years of age.
Yesterday was a massive step forward to where I intend to be, when we finally said farewell to our old house.
Financially, it means that I’m no longer responsible for two homes, and the responsibility of an empty house has also gone as well.
Fishing-wise, today I managed a short afternoon session on a local pool.
In spite of constant pike attacks and a mute swan in the swim, I caught lots of roach and one perch.
There’s more in the video below.
The tackle used today was as follows:
Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.
The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler.
The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 14 with two white maggots.
I fished one rod length from the bank in 3/4 feet of water and fed sloppy brown crumb and loose maggots.
