A Short Session Where I Stayed A Lot Longer Than I Expected… My Retirement Angling Plans…

I popped out for a short session this afternoon, that ended up with a lot more time by the water’s edge than expected.

Not fishing either and there’s more of that in the video.

The full story will be revealed over the weekend as it’s my sermon in church this coming Sunday.

Even out of bad things there’s always something good to share.

Talking of sharing, I chat in the video about what my retirement will bring as far as fishing is concerned.

Well, I am getting older now and I’ll be sixty sooner rather than later.

It’s good to make plans, although initially for me it’s not strictly retirement but semi-retirement.

Then there’s the fishing today, let’s not forget that!

I caught lots of roach and by baiting two spots, stayed ahead of the pike.

You can comment on this post, as well as reading the other conversations, via my guest book.

The tackle used today was as follows:

Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler.

The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 14 with two white maggots.

I fished one rod length from the bank in 3/4 feet of water and fed sloppy brown crumb and loose maggots.
