After church and following lunch, I headed for a local pool for a short session up to dark.
No roach today, just perch. Nothing big though, although I did get hook-pulls again.
It’s a combination of weed masking the hook and the fish not feeding as freely, with the water temperature still low.
The weather wasn’t good, with heavy rain and strong winds but, as always, I just go fishing anyway.
In the video there are also some thoughts on memories.
The mystery of the fishing tackle shop name (yesterday’s angling blog entry) has been solved. Thanks, Bob, Matt, Richard and Steve.
Paul’s posts as well show us what a small world it is.
The tackle used today was as follows:
Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.
The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler.
The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 14 with two white maggots.
I fished one rod length from the bank in 3/4 feet of water and fed sloppy brown crumb and loose maggots.
