When the whistle blew for the final time on December 18 last year, with The New Saints beating Penybont FC, little did we realise that was the last game for a month.
However, it’s back on track now and we carried on where we left off.
The 3-2 victory in December was followed by a 3-1 win in January.
The New Saints had a comfortable lead at the break, with goals from Declan McManus (12) and Ben Clark (26).
However, just two minutes into the second period, Connah’s Quay Nomads were back in it from the penalty spot.
Two minutes later, the two-goal cushion was restored with another penalty, as Declan scored his second of the game and his eighteenth of the league season.
There’s a behind-the-scenes video below. One of the benefits of working in football is that you get to go to places that the average fan can’t.
