Off To Work, First Though Some Fishing

I knew it was going to be a long day today – they always are when I’m at Park Hall, the home of The New Saints – so I went fishing first thing on a local pool.

It was partly frozen, but I just went on the section that wasn’t, so no problem there.

I fancied lure fishing, so I knew it was going to be a challenge, especially with such a short time on the bank.

That proved to be the case as well. There were no signs at all of feeding fish, not even roach topping.

The tackle I fished with was as follows: Fox Rage Ultron drop shot rod, Fox Rage Ultron 2500 reel, 10lb Sunline braid on reel.

Drennan Double Strength 10lb (1.5 metres) joined to the braid with a small swivel.

Micro jig head 0.7g size 6 hook. Glider 2 inch rubber fish. All knots (3) blood knots.
