Earlier today, I took advantage of going to a town with my wife and granddaughter by visiting charity shops in pursuit of vinyl.
Not any old plastic though but Motown.
I tell the story in the video but I ended up with ten singles for £1.50.
That’s 15p each.
We use the term cheap and nasty but while the former most certainly fits the bill, the latter isn’t even in the equation.
The records I bought, in no particular order, were:
One Day In Your Life / Take Me Home – Michael Jackson
I’m Coming Out / Give Up – Diana Ross
Get Ready / My Girl – The Temptations
Sail On / Captain Quick Draw – Commodores
Let It All Blow / Now That I Have You – Dazz Band
All Night Long (All Night) / Wandering Stranger – Lionel Richie
Three Times A Lady / Can’t Let You Tease Me – Commodores
Jimmy Mack / Third Finger, Left Hand – Martha And The Vandellas
Indiana Wants Me / Love’s Your Name – R Dean Taylor
Respect Yourself / Fun Time – Bruce Willis
I recently changed the format of the page where my collection is logged, photographing all the record covers.
It looks great now.
