With a couple of hours or so up to dark next to the canal, with a maggot on a size 18 hook, I was confident that I’d catch something.
However, the weather turned out to be the winner this afternoon.
I didn’t even get a single bite or the beginnings of one.
It’s the way it goes sometimes, but with temperatures plummeting, it’s not really a shock, is it?
In fact, it was so cold that my iPhone cut out. At least it didn’t miss out on anything.
So, no fish today but there’s always tomorrow.
I’m very confident about that session. As they say, watch this space…
