It was a working day at Park Hall today, so that meant time was limited.
However, before I set off for The New Saints, I did a very short session on a local pool.
I’ve said it numerous times before – and no doubt will continue to do so again in the future – but that’s where lure fishing comes into its own.
It’s great when time is tight.
Unfortunately though, I didn’t catch anything this morning. In fact, I didn’t even get a take.
That doesn’t mean to say you can’t enjoy being out and about in the great outdoors though.
I’ve been angling every day so far this year.
I’m practising for my retirement, when I go fishing every day, by going fishing every day.
The tackle I fished with was as follows: Fox Rage Ultron drop shot rod, Fox Rage Ultron 2500 reel, 10lb Sunline braid on reel.
Drennan Double Strength 10lb (1.5 metres) joined to the braid with a small swivel.
Micro jig head 1g size 6 hook. Glider 2 inch rubber fish. All knots (3) blood knots.
