We often use the phrase ‘hitting a raw nerve’, which indicates someone took offence at what was said by another.
There are two ways in which we can react.
Firstly – and sadly most go this route – we can hit out and basically offload our issues on the other person.
Secondly – and this is the path to choose – we can ask ourselves why we react the way we do and deal with it.
