Waiting for the boats to moor for the night, I set to the Staffs/Worcs Canal for another late evening session.
I caught four species of fish, including a dace. I know they’re in there as other anglers have caught them.
However, it got me thinking. I can’t remember if I’ve had one from there, if so I can’t recall specifically, although I think I may have done many years ago.
Either way, though, it was a nice surprise. Usually associated with fast-flowing rivers, it was good to catch a canal dace.
There are also some tips on short sessions in the accompanying video.
