I’m Enjoying My Sessions On The Canal And That’s What Angling Is All About

Not only does it suit where I’m at currently but I’m also enjoying the short sessions I’m doing on the Staffs/Worcs Canal.

That’s the important factor. Enjoyment. It doesn’t matter what you fish for, how long you spend at the water’s edge or even if you catch every time

What really counts is whether you are enjoying being out and about.

You can watch the video from my latest session here.

The water temperature was 13.0C, a fall of 0.1 from yesterday’s visit to the canal.

I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

There was 5 feet length of 2lb 8oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon joined by a loop-to-loop knot.

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18.

I fished the boat channel, with brown crumb and mixed maggots and single white maggot on the hook.
