The Last Angling Session Before I Enter My Sixtieth Year

I’ll be fifty-nine tomorrow, so therefore starting my sixtieth year. Time flies and that’s a fact.

I was up early to do a short angling session and you can see how I got on from the video I recorded.

I fished a section of canal that I’ve never been to before. There are miles of the Staffs/Worcs Canal alone that are within easy reach.

I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

There was 5 feet length of 2lb 8oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon joined by a loop-to-loop knot.

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18.

I fished the boat channel, with brown crumb and mixed maggots and single white maggot on the hook.
