Whatever The Conditions, Just Go Fishing Anyway

Although it picked up later, it was another frosty start to the day.

Before I cleared the ice, I took advantage of the conditions by writing on the car windshield, as per the lead image above.

The fishing was slower than it has been in recent sessions, but I still caught, with three species on the bank.

The session, on the Staffs/Worcs Canal, can be viewed via the video I recorded on the bank.

I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

There was 5 feet length of 2lb 8oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon joined by a loop-to-loop knot.

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18.

I fished the boat channel, with brown crumb and mixed maggots and single white maggot on the hook.
