No fishing yesterday but I was back out first thing this morning.
It was a cold start to the day as well, with hail on the front lawn when I went to the car.
Obviously, from the headline I caught gudgeon, and as you can see from the lead image, some nice ones as well.
In addition, I added perch, which I’m always pleased to catch, regardless of the size.
I recorded a short video while at the water’s edge.
I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.
There was 5 feet length of 2lb 8oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon joined by a loop-to-loop knot.
The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18.
I fished the boat channel, with brown crumb and mixed maggots and single maggot on the hook.
