As The Clocks Go Forward, A Pleasant Angling Session On The Staffs/Worcs Canal

Time stands still for no one and today the clocks went forward an hour. That means more potential for evening sessions, and that’s exactly what I did, as I practised what I preach.

Tomorrow, we are able to spread our angling wings, as lockdown restrictions are eased, for now though, it was back on the Staffs/Worcs Canal.

I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

There was 5 feet length of 2lb 8oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon joined by a loop-to-loop knot.

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18.

I fished the boat channel, with brown crumb and mixed maggots and single red maggot on the hook.
