It’s A Fine Line Sometimes, But With Bream And Roach, I Was On The Right Side Of It This Morning – Next Stop, Flintshire, We’re Live on TV This Afternoon

I played football last night, and it’s certainly good to be back on the pitch after long periods away, due to Covid-19.

After a few games, my match fitness is returning and it’s no problem to play, go to bed, and then be up early the following morning.

Today’s angling session was again on the canal and there’s more in the video below.

I’m off to Connah’s Quay at noon for a JD Cymru Premier game with The New Saints. That’s going to be a tough one – for both sides – but I’m looking forward to it.

It’s also live on S4C, with a 4.30 p.m. kick-off time, so if you’ve got nothing to do this afternoon, why not tune in?

You may have never seen a Welsh domestic game before, now’s your chance. If you do, let me know via the comments box at the head of the page.

It will be in Welsh but there is a red button English commentary option.

Plus, you can also follow the game via our commentary on the TNS FC website home page.

Back to this morning’s angling session though and the tackle used is listed below.

I fished with a Greys G Lite spinning rod (4-8lb) and a Shimano DL2500FA reel.

Maxima Chameleon 4lb reel line was joined to 1lb 6oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon by a loop-to-loop knot.

The hook length was created by a 5mm bead and a size 6 shot. The lead was a 1/4 ounce bomb.

Single maggot was fished on a Drennan Super Specialist size 18 hook.
