It’s been a cold day, it certainly has had a wintry feel to it. Regardless of the conditions though, I go fishing.
Just an hour up to dark and I travelled very light indeed, with a small bag, net and the rod was already set up, so I was fishing in no time at all once I hit the water’s edge.
I fished with a Greys G Lite spinning rod (4-8lb) and a Shimano DL2500FA reel.
Maxima Chameleon 4lb line went straight through to a Drennan Super Specialist size 16 hook.
The hook length was created by a 5mm bead and a size 6 shot. The lead was a 1/4 ounce bomb.
I fished with double maggot and fed maggots and brown crumb.
Good to see you caught a couple .I fish 2 or 3 times a week all year round but tomorrow I am having an operation and have been told I to do nothing for a month so with watch some of you’re old fishing posts .We will be up to the shortest days by then.
Hello, John. I really hope everything goes well for you. Hopefully you’ll be back on the bank sooner rather than later.
Stay safe.
