Due to the COVID-19 situation, although top flight league football is being played in Wales, there are no cup competitions scheduled at the moment.
We did play two games a week at the start of the season, as we needed to catch up, but it’s now just one.
I’ve got a match later today, as The New Saints welcome Barry Town United to Park Hall.
I wanted to get some fishing in first though, and so I was up while it was still dark, and on the bank at first light.
It’s about thinking outside the box of conventional wisdom, which for some anglers is that they don’t have five hours free, and therefore can’t get out.
In addition, it’s about pushing yourself. I’ve got a long day ahead of me, certainly eighteen hours at least by the time I’ll be hitting the pillow later.
I’ve been fishing though, plus I won’t be struggling energy-wise. I might be asleep within seconds of getting into bed tonight but before then, I’ll be wide awake.
I’ve uploaded this video directly to YouTube as well, from the movie software on my phone, as opposed to downloading it first. That’s saved some time.
I fished with a Greys G Lite spinning rod (4-8lb) and a Shimano DL2500FA reel.
Maxima Chameleon 4lb line went straight through to a Drennan Super Specialist size 16 hook.
The hook length was created by a 5mm bead and a size 6 shot. The lead was a 1/4 ounce bomb.
I fished with double maggot and fed maggots and brown crumb.
Thanks for the mention 😊 must be nice knowing he watches your video’s! Another 3 points for The New Saints, hope you get home at a decent hour.
You’re welcome! Actually it was number two but they both do, or at least they have done!
Just got in, got lots of post-match stuff to do. Typing this while I’m waiting for an interview to upload.
Good three points today, still unbeaten after eleven games. So far it’s looking good.
