You can follow this morning’s session below, as well as the reflections from the water’s edge that covered a variety of topics.
The water temperature was 11.5C, which was down from 11.7C and 13.4C on my last two canal visits. That was also a fall of 0.8C from the previous day. We’re into autumn now, for sure.
The rod I fished with was a 12’ Greys Prodigy TX and the reel was a Shimano DL2500FA, loaded with 4lb Maxima Chameleon.
Joined by a loop-to-loop knot, there was an 18’’ length of Ultra Virage fluorocarbon 2.5lb line to a Drennan Super Specialist size 16 hook.
The float was a Drennan 3BB crystal waggler. I fished with maggot on the hook over brown crumb / loose maggots.
