After A Faroese Fishing-Fast, It’s Good To Be Back On The Bank

I didn’t do any angling in the Faroe Islands but, as I often say, I’m passionate not obsessed. Therefore, I don’t crave fishing when I’m not doing it.

However, it was nice to be back on the bank this morning. With another football game to go to, therefore having limited time, I went brook fishing for three-spined sticklebacks.

The tackle I fished with was as follows: Poachers Pocket mini-rod and reel.

Reel line was 4lb Maxima Chameleon, leading to Ultima Virage 1lb 6oz fluorocarbon, joined by a loop-to-loop knot.

I nipped a size 4 shot on the line and the hook was a Drennan Super Specialist micro barbed size 18. Bait was a single white maggot.

  1. Football & Fishing, this pretty much mirrors my life. I know you are a big Wolves fan Stewart, so as a Man City fan I won’t be wishing you luck for tomorrow night’s game at Molineux 🙂

    1. Indeed, fishing and football, not a bad life!
Just got back from a TNS FC game, the first club to play a competitive game at the new stadium, following the move from Maine Road!
