With photoshoots and interviews, it was a busy morning at Park Hall, the home of The New Saints FC. The third one was Callum Leigh, who has recently signed a professional contract with the club.
Before training, we chatted in the stand behind the goal. Last season, Callum suffered a nasty injury and we talked about that, as well as his time with Rochdale AFC before joining TNS.
It’s always good to interview the youngsters and to hear their story. It is the first rung of the ladder for players like Callum, as they sign terms for the first time, but nevertheless it is the dream of many to become a professional footballer and this is where it starts.
