I was up bright and early this morning and was fishing on the canal just after first light. The early bird certainly caught the worm as I did well, numbers-wise.
The rod I fished with was a 12’ Greys Prodigy TX and the reel was a Shimano DL2500FA, loaded with 4lb Maxima Chameleon.
Joined by a loop-to-loop knot, there was a five feet length of Ultra Virage fluorocarbon 2.5lb line to a Drennan Super Specialist size 18 hook.
The float was a Drennan 3BB crystal waggler. I fished with single maggot on the hook over brown crumb / loose maggots.
