Due to the Covid-19 situation, it’s been a very slow football season so far. This time last year I’d been to twenty-three games.
I’ve just hit ten this time round. However, in the circumstances, I’m actually quite pleased to be just on double-figures.
Not that long ago it looked like there would be no games at all. Full stop. We are now on the slow road to normality. That’s good.
There are always matches going on at Park Hall, the home of The New Saints FC. I’m based there at the moment, rather than the office, due to Covid-19 .
With Port Vale the visitors taking on TNS FC, at U-19 level, I watched the game from the balcony. I enjoy football, and regardless of the level, I’ll watch it.
Obviously, this was a decent standard, as you would expect. The Academy set-up attracts plenty of quality opposition, which shows how well-thought of the club is.
The game ended 2-2 and was certainly competitive, even feisty at times.
