It’s A Game Of Late Goals At The Trico Stadium, As Redditch United Draw With Feckenham FC

Now that fans are allowed back into lower leagues games in England – albeit in reduced numbers – I’m certainly making the most of it.

The game in Worcestershire, this afternoon, was my second groundhop in three days and another new venue on the list.

Within minutes of the pre-season friendly kicking-off, I had my personal Man Of The Match in mind, and nothing changed from then on. First impressions were accurate.

The Redditch number four looked very composed on the ball, got himself into space and his distribution was quality. An excellent all-round performance.

I also liked the look of the opposition numbers nine and eleven. They were big and strong and caused the home defence lots of problems.

In fact, it was the former who headed Feckenham into a first-half lead. With less than five minutes to go though, before the break, Redditch were back on level terms.

Then, a couple of minutes later, it was advantage the visitors once more. The equalising goal for Redditch came in the dying seconds of the game itself. The final score was 2-2.
