Fishing a lake for a couple of hours or so up to dark this evening, I targeted carp, but with a different approach to that which I’ve been taking recently.
Fishing worm, although I didn’t catch my target species, I did net a perch. The carp were around though, so I knew that I was in the right place.
I fished with a Rock Classic rod 2.5 test ccurve. Reel was a Shimano 4000, loaded with 15lb Shimano Ultegra.
Hook was a size 6 Drennan Super Specialist. The lead was 1/4 ounce, with the hook length created by a size 6 Dinsmores shot and a 5mm bead.
