Regardless Of The Weather, The Angling Show Goes On – Tench Fishing In Shropshire

This time last week we were basking in a heatwave. Now, it’s overcast, breezy and the air temperature has certainly fallen sharply.

However, the show goes on, regardless of the weather, and I was back in the county of Shropshire, pursuing tench.

I had a few tincas, along with a couple of rudd. As always, you can follow the session via the video below.

There’s also a chat with Kinver Freeliners Angling Club member, Henry Gallacher, in there as well.

The tackle that I fished with was as follows: Fox Barbel Special 11’ 1.5 test curve rod and an Okuma Zeon reel.

The reel was loaded with 6lb Maxima Chameleon, with a six inch hook-length of 5lb Drennan Team England, created by a small swivel and a 5mm bead. Above that was a 1/4 ounce lead.

The bait was a Corn-shaped sinker boilie hair-rigged to a size 10 Drennan Boilie Hook. I loose fed brown crumb and corn.
