Welcome To Red Lane, Between Sedgley And Gospel End Village – Walking With A Purpose

Red Lane, as far as traffic is concerned, doesn’t go anywhere. The fact that it is a dead-end means that although many pass it by, as they travel along the A463, they have probably never turned into it.

It’s another one of my childhood nature haunts, so I always enjoy walking there. This time I went from the junction with the main road to just across Penn Brook and then back.

The birds seen were as follows: wood pigeon, robin, starling, magpie, mallard, moorhen, blackbird, carrion crow, feral pigeon, house martin, house sparrow, goldfinch, common buzzard, wren, greenfinch, swallow, dunnock, great tit.
