Prior to working for The New Saints FC, I had a season ticket at Wolverhampton Wanderers for many years. Sitting in the South Bank at Molineux, I never imagined a time when I wouldn’t be there.
I never even thought about it, but the reality was that it was going to take something very special indeed, to come between me and my season ticket. However, when a new door opened, the transaction was smooth and seamless. It was the right move.
I also believe that what you give up now, you often reap far more of in the future. Although it may be a different context, nevertheless that’s exactly what happened regarding Wolves.
Outside of Wales itself, I’ve had more to do with my hometown club than any other. With Academy, first-team and Ladies, there are several games a season between TNS FC and Wolves that I get to work at.
The New Saints travelled to the Wolves training ground in the autumn of 2019, for a behind-closed-doors friendly with Wolves U-23s. The video below is from the visit and includes some match footage.
