G Is For Groundhopping – Memories From Working In The World Of Football 2019

As a keen groundhopper, working in the beautiful game means that every year I get to kill two birds with one stone, when I visit new grounds.

They may be international stadiums or club training grounds, and last year I added one of the latter to the list, with a visit to Shrewsbury Townโ€™s Sundorne Castle.

My reason for being there was a behind-closed-doors friendly, between the home side and The New Saints FC. It was played in fifteen-minute segments, so very different to a normal game.

The FA Wales donโ€™t allow results from matches of this nature (not open to the public) to be published, so as an employee of the game in Wales, I always respect that even when writing on a personal level.

I enjoyed my visit to the training ground very much and produced the video that you can watch below.
