Three JD Cymru Premier Wins On The Bounce, As The New Saints FC Move Up To Second Place. When Things Are Tight, The Results Swing Is Noticeable.

Although every game is important, this was a big one for the reigning champions of Wales, as three points would have been seen the team climbing the table into second place, whereas a defeat would have meant fourth and potentially eight points behind Barry Town United if they won their games in hand.

As it happened, it was the first scenario, and with Connah’s Quay Nomads dropping points and Barry not in action until the following day, it meant that The New Saints were just one point off the top come the close of play. It shows the swing that is involved in results, especially when things are tight at the top.

We couldn’t get a wi-fi connection to do TNS Radio, so I wrote the match report instead. This was my 41st game of the season and you can visit my groundhopping pages here.

The lead image is Greg Draper at Park Hall, well before kick-off as the players were arriving. I spotted him looking out to the pitch from the tunnel area, as Academy games were going on, and thought it would make a nice photo.
