This is the third time in as many seasons that The New Saints has played Wolves in a behind closed doors friendly at the Compton training ground. It was arranged quite close to the actual date, but as soon as I knew, I was looking forward to it very much indeed.
It’s close to where I live as well, so ticks a number of boxes, not least the one that I had a season ticket at Molineux for many years before I started working at The New Saints.
Needless to say, I enjoyed the visit to Compton. The world of football takes me to some great places. Although it was a working game, like the others it’s still added to my list for the season.
